Lower Back Tattoos
Lower back tattoos are very popular these days as they can be easily hidden or shown to the public depending on what the owner wishes to do. Because of its size and the relative lack of hair, the back presents an ideal canvas on the human body for tattoo artists to place large designs. Interestingly enough, the curves and feminine shapes of a female's body all seem to converge in the lower back. Commonly compared to a hourglass, the lower back has a shallow curvature to it that fits well into the curves of a female’s back and the natural curves of her hips. Often a lower back tattoo design will be specially shaped to accentuate and flatter the 'hourglass' shape of the female figure.
